Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, on Friday while repeating his offer to India to resolve Kashmir issue through peaceful means has hoped the talks between both the country will be resumed soon.

Addressing a special joint sitting of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Council and AJK legislative Assembly on the eve of Kashmir solidarity day here, he emphasized that both the country should move forward for peace and prosperity of the region by setting aside the past.

“Both India and Pakistan should analyze their economic growth and must work together for the prosperity of people by setting aside differences,” Sharif said adding that without resolving the core issue of Kashmir, it could not be achieved.

The Prim Minister said the resolution of Kashmir issue was imperative for bring peace and prosperity in South Asia and that fact must be recognized by the both countries for the well being of the people.

He said the United Nations had pledged with the Kashmiris to resolve the issue through plebiscite but he wondered why the United Nations could not implemented its resolution whereas its other resolutions were implemented as early as their ink gets dry.

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s traditional stance that she would continued moral, political and diplomatic support of people of Kashmir for their right to self determination and will never leave them alone in this struggle.

He said the due share of Azad Kashmir will be given in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) besides speedy implementation of mega hydro-electric projects, currently underway here, and communication projects like Mirpur-Muzaffarabad, Muree-Muzaffarabad express ways and railway link from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad.

He also assured to provide funds for reconstruction of legislative Assembly’s building besides fulfilling other requirements of Azad Kashmir government but emphasized it to prepare projects to be implemented.

The Prime Minister advised the opposition parties to support positive culture in the country and avoid criticism for criticism as the PIA privatization was aimed to improve the Air line and provide better facilities to passengers.

He said the Country would not go prosper by using undemocratic means like agitation and staging sit ins. ” We have brought peace in Balochistan and Karachi and that would bring development and prosperity in the country,” he added. (APP)
