A road accident leaves one dead two injured in Neelum Valley

A road accident in Neelum district of Pakistan administered Kashmir has left one dead and two other critically wounded, Ishfaq Abbasi, a local journalist told Kashmir Image on Monday evening.

A jeep, with three people on board, was coming to Athmuqam form Muzaffaradabad. While crossing the landslide near Sandok town, it went off the road and plunged in to the ditch on the bank of Neelum River, resulting a death on spot and leaving two others critically injured.

The person, who died on the spot was identified as Adil Quresi—president of local transport union—while to injured were identified as Shafique ur Rehman—a high school teacher—and Muhammad Sajid.

According to an eyewitness, land sliding and slippery road caused the accident.

Due to poor condition of the roads, some of the major road accidents have occurred during past few year resulting hundreds of civilian causalities
