2 killed 7 injured at LoC a day before Kashmir Solidarity Day

HAVELI/KOTLI: While the rest of Azad Kashmir celebrates the Kashmir Solidarity Day, some residents of the Line of Control (LoC) remain busy in funeral and burial of their loved ones, who killed a day before due to Indian shelling from across the LoC.

Tasleem Begum, 25, a resident of Pallani village in Nikkyal sector, and Rafaqat, 16, another resident of Akhori Bala village of Haveli district were killed a day before after Indian army resorted unprovoked shelling along the LoC.

Seven others, including  three minors and a women, also injured the same day in cross-LoC shelling in different sectors.

Syed Hammad al Hassnain form Haveli district reported that Rafaqat was grazing his cattle in nearby jungle when he caught in firing and lost his life, while in Kairni village Umer, 12, Usama, 8 and Moavia, 4,  of the same family, injured and shifted to a a local hospital.

Sajid Ali a jurnalists based in Khoi Ratta of Kotli District reported that a 25-year-old woman, identified as Tasleem Begum, daughter of Mohammad Sadiq, was killed in Plani village while another Tasleem bibi, 27 and Mohammad Javed, 50 were  injured and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in Kotli, where doctors described the condition of the woman ,”critical.”

According to media reports, Muhammad Atta, 18, and Raees, 20, were injured in Pir Klinjar and Mohra Gim village.

Pakistan Army responded effectively targeting the Indian posts from where shells came, ISPR press release read.
